Nicole Sarkisian, D.O., is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician. She graduated with Honors from the University of Dayton where she majored in Exercise Physiology. She obtained her medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio.
Following medical school, Dr. Sarkisian completed her family medicine residency at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Throughout her residency, she volunteered on the medical team and sideline coverage for local high school teams.
After residency, Dr. Sarkisian completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, Ohio. During her fellowship year, she received extensive training in musculoskeletal treatment in adult and pediatric population, as well as both diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound. She also has much experience with osteopathic treatment of sports injuries. She served as team physician for University of Akron Athletics and Woodridge High school.
Dr. Sarkisian is a member of several professional societies including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
