Dr. Anthony R. DiLeo is a fellowship-trained podiatric reconstructive surgeon specializing in comprehensive foot and ankle care, trauma, and sports medicine. He delivers advanced surgical and conservative treatments tailored to each patient’s unique functional goals.
 
Comprehensive Education and Elite Training
Dr. DiLeo earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology from The University of Scranton, followed by a Master of Biomedical Sciences from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia.
He completed an intensive three-year surgical residency in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA) at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, New York, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. During his residency, he trained under the tutelage of renowned surgeon Dr. Guido A. LaPorta, DPM. His residency featured deep emphasis on:
  • Charcot foot reconstruction
  • Limb salvage procedures
  • Adult and pediatric deformity correction
  • Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS)
  • Trauma 
 
To further refine his specialized surgical capabilities, Dr. DiLeo completed advanced orthopedic training at the International Center for Limb Lengthening at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland. There, he trained under Dr. Christopher Bibbo, DO, FACS, FAAOS, an expert fellowship-trained in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery and plastic and reconstructive microsurgery. Dr. DiLeo then completed an elite Fellowship in Advanced Foot & Ankle Surgery & Sports Medicine at Precision Orthopaedic Specialties under the direction of Dr. Mark Mendeszoon DPM.
 
Clinical Specializations
Dr. DiLeo’s extensive surgical training allows him to treat a broad spectrum of complex lower extremity conditions, including:
  • Reconstructive Surgery: Total ankle replacements, foot and ankle joint replacement surgery, flatfoot reconstruction, cavus foot correction, bunions (including minimally invasive techniques), and hammertoes.
  • Trauma & Complex Deformities: Adult and pediatric lower extremity trauma surgery, clubfoot deformity, Charcot foot deformity, and other complex structural conditions.
  • Sports Medicine & Limb Salvage: Sports injuries of the foot and ankle, chronic Achilles tendonitis, diabetic foot deformities, and advanced diabetic limb salvage surgery.

Born and raised in Northeast Pennsylvania, Dr. DiLeo maintains a highly active lifestyle outside of his surgical practice. He is a lifelong sports fan, former track and football coach, enjoys working out, hiking, hunting, traveling on new adventures, and spending quality time with his family.
