Dr. Collin Krebs is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and joint replacement. He has advanced training in minimally invasive procedures of the shoulder, hip, and knee, as well as shoulder replacement and joint preservation techniques. He also provides comprehensive care for patients in need of hip and knee replacement, fracture management, and trauma surgery.
Dr. Krebs completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Chicago, where he received advanced training in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee. His fellowship also focused on shoulder replacement and complex joint preservation procedures. Before that, he completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where he gained extensive experience in hip and knee replacement, trauma, and fracture care.
Originally from Northeast Ohio, Dr. Krebs earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences and a Master of Science in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Deeply connected to his community, he is passionate about helping patients of all ages return to their active lifestyles, whether that means recovering from a sports injury, navigating joint care, or regaining mobility after surgery.
“I take a patient-centered approach, tailoring care to each individual’s goals. My priority is restoring function and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy. While surgery is a last resort, I emphasize joint-preserving techniques whenever possible and recommend joint replacement only when necessary. Above all, I work collaboratively with each patient to achieve the best outcome, whether that means returning to sports or simply improving daily mobility.”
Outside of work, Dr. Krebs enjoys living an active lifestyle. An avid skier since childhood, he continues to hit the slopes whenever he can. In the summer, he enjoys paddleboarding, surfing, biking, running, and working out. He also enjoys cooking and grilling, always on the lookout for new recipes to share with his family and friends. A lifelong sports fan, Dr. Krebs follows college football and passionately supports Cleveland’s professional teams, including his beloved Browns. Above all, he values time with family and friends and looks forward to raising his own family in Northeast Ohio.
